Preparing to move into management
This course would be tailor-made to the organisations specific expectations of their managers.
This course is particularly focused on new managers and those who are thinking about applying for a managerial/supervisory role.

Day 1
Nature of Management
Why do you want to be a manager?
What does your organisation expect of its managers?
Understanding the different types of managerial roles?
What are the skills and techniques needed to be an effective manager?
What are your personal skills and abilities that you can bring into a managerial role?
Create an action plan to assist your progress into a managerial role or alternative career move.
Explore different theories of management style.
Exploring authority, accountability and responsibilities of managers.
Coaching
One to one coaching session with Facilitator, to help you imbed learning, define objectives and meet your targets.
Day 2
Recruitment and Communication
Appraisals and giving feedback
Communication and Assertion skills
Create a peer support system to help you fulfil your action plan
Practice being interviewed in a mock managerial recruitment process
