ASSERTION SKILLS COURSE

The Assertion Skills course is a two day seminar

The Course's Aims and Objectives

* To explore the four patterns of behaviour which people use when communicating:
    a) Submissive behaviour
    b) Aggressive behaviour
    c) Passive-Aggressive behaviour
    d) Assertive behaviour
* Learn how to identify these behaviours in both self and others.
* Learn the non-verbal aspects of submissive, assertive and aggressive behaviour.
* Understand the 'trigger points' that lead into negative patterns of communicating.
* Find the skills to disarm 'aggressive' situations.
* Learn useful techniques to make your decisions and beliefs heard.
* Learn how to say 'no', without being aggressive.
* Learn the 'five vital ingredients' in any assertive process.
* Learn stress relieving techniques.
* Learn ‘active listening’ techniques.
